Another disappointing result with good individual performances but not enough to amount to a good team performance. The openers again got us off to a good start but the team never seemed to recover from the captain triggering Dave. A good knock from Dan and from Will. Will was out for the first time in three games and now has an average of 102. Let's hope he can keep it up. With only ten players, a score of 128 was never quite enough. A great effort from Ben, his figures do not do him justice as he battled into a very gusty head wind. The remaining bowlers suffered a little at the hands of their better batsmen who came in the middle order. Six wickets were taken by a side now reduced to 9 (We hope Dan enjoyed the cinema after tea) but time quickly ran out. The return fixture should be far more competitive.
