A shortage of players in the first had a knock to the fourths as Jeff and John helped out the thirds. Step up the Silver Fox and Nobbsey for their first games of the season. The game was a bit of a non-starter as far as a competitive match and was later to dwindle to an end in the fading light. There were a number of highlights and personal achievements during the game. Dave carried his bat with a dogged 76 and Dan secured the seasons batting honours with a quicker 62. A total of 190 was a winning score but how quickly could Burridge take 10 wickets. Nobbsey was soon in the action with a sharp catch behind the stumps and also a stumping. Wickets fell but just not quickly enough, as players' minds and noses were distracted by the club summer BBQ. The skippers figures were good but looked positively average against Nick Pink debut contribution. A solid win but a let down after the epic the week before. A good end of the season result giving stats of played 16 won 10 and losing 6.
