RESULT Burridge won by 3 wickets Burridge 23 points
Trojans 8 points
Burridge returned to the Sports Centre following a continued dry spell and were confronted with a wicket more suited to archery. Trojans won the toss and chose to bat. Ben and Imran were quickly amongst the wickets and a total of 75 looked optimistic for Trojans but they dug in and lasted 40 overs before being bowled out. Paul Simpson and Sam Charles made season debuts and both took two wickets. A target of 151 was always going to be reached but it was a matter of for how many. Dave looked in good nick but was called through (Dan) for a suicidal run and had no hope. Cainer was star of the day with a majestic 40 and only looked troubled and was bowled when he tried to block it. Ben went to a very good catch and the skipper through away maximum points with a poor shot and the 7th wicket. Tony making his season first appearance completed the victory with a classical straight drive, despite the below par tea.
